Rezvaneh Mohammadi, Gender Equality Activist’s court has been held

Rezvana Mohammadi, Gender Equality activist’s first court session was held at Branch 28 of Tehran’s Revolutionary Court.

According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, Rezvaneh Mohammadi, a gender equality activist’s court was held in Tehran’s Revolutionary Court Branch 28 on Sunday, February 18th 2019, under chairmanship of Judge Moghiseh.

Reports indicate not only Ms. Mohammadi’s lawyer was not given the right to defend his client, he was also refused access to her case.

Ms. Mohammadi’s charges include “colluding against national security by normalization of homosexual tendencies.”

She was interrogated for 26 days at ward 209 of Evin prison following her arrest on September 3rd 2018, and was later transferred to the Woman’s ward on September 29th. She was eventually released on bail on Saturday October 20th on a 150 million toman bond.
