In the morning, the Revolutionary Guard Security Forces arrested the lawyer Zainab Taheri, at her house and transferred to an unknown location.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, on the morning of March 11th, 2019, the Revolutionary Guard Security Forces arrested Zainab Taheri at her house and transferred to an unknown location.
It was reported that after a full house search, security forces seized all of Ms. Taheri’s personal belongings, including her cellphone, computer, and tablet. No information is available on the place of detention, the alleged charges, or the reasons for the detention of this attorney.
Zaynab Taheri was previously arrested on June 19th, 2018 on charges of “disseminating lies,” “propaganda against the regime”, and “disturbing public opinion” by the Second Branch of the Culture and Media Court. She was released from the Qarchak prison in Varamin on August 2018.
