According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, a labor activist from Yasuj, Mohammad Davari, was detained by Fars Province Intelligence Service officials on Wednesday, October 2nd, 2019, and transferred to the security agency No. 100 detention center for interrogation.

An informed source told the Campaign, “Mr. Davari has not had contact with his family since the arrest. His family did not learn about his detention at Shiraz Intelligence Bureau until after a week of follow up.”

Despite his family’s efforts to gain insight, there is no exact information so far on the reason for Mr. Davari’s arrest.

This is not the first time that this citizen has been arrested by security services. Mr. Davari, a civil activist living in Yasuj, was arrested earlier by the IRGC on August 9th, 2018. He was released on a bail of 200 million Tomans from a detention center in Yasuj Central Prison, on Monday August 27th, 2018.

He was arrested again on Monday, September 17th, 2018, after being summoned and re-appearing in the city’s intelligence service and released hours after interrogation.

Mr. Davari, 27, a bachelor’s student of Political Science, also was arrested on March 5th, 2018 for publishing critical material on cyberbullying and of the IRGC’s role in the crash of Tehran-Yasuj passenger airliner. He was subsequently summoned by IRGC Intelligence agency and was charged with “propaganda against the system” and “acting against national security through disturbing public opinion”. He was then transferred to Yasuj Central Prison. He was eventually released from Yasuj Central Prison on a 50 million Tomans bail on March 13th, 2018.
