Four Baha’i Citizens, Residing in Kerman, were Sentenced to Prison by Appeals Court

Nima Rajabzadeh, Armanbandi Amirabad, Amrollah Khaleghian, and Ehsanullah Amirienya, four Baha’i citizens residing in Kerman, were sentenced to a total of 16 months imprisonment in the First District Court of Appeal in Kerman. The citizens had previously each been sentenced to 5 years in prison by the first branches of the Kerman Revolutionary Court for “membership in the Baha’i organization for disturbing the security of the country”.

According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, Nima Rajabzadeh, Armanbandi Amirabad, Amrollah Khaleghian, and Ehsanullah Amirienya, four Baha’i citizens residing in Kerman, based on a verdict issued by the First District   Court of Appeal, sentenced to a total of 16 months in prison on January 15th, 2020

Nima Rajabzadeh, Armanbandi Amirabad, Amrollah Khaleghian, and Ehsanullah Amirienya were previously arrested in 2017. They were sentenced to a total of 20 years in prison in the first branch of the Revolutionary Court in Kerman a year later 2018.

The hearing of the case for these 4 Baha’is was held at the First Branch of Kerman Province court on Sunday April 28th. 2019.
