After more than ten days of Karim Haghighi’s detention, no information is yet available on the whereabouts and fate of this Turk civil activist.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, Karim Haghighi, a civil activist residing in Tabriz (East Azerbaijan Provence, northwestern Iran), was arrested by security forces at his workplace on Tuesday, October 6th 2020.
Iranian security forces reportedly arrested the civil activist and transferred him to an unknown location without providing a warrant or identification card.
Eleven days after Mr. Haghighi’s arrest, the reasons for his detention and whereabouts of this Azerbaijani activist are still unknown.
Relatives of Karim Haghighi say he has not contacted his family so far, which has raised concerns about his health and status.
