Farzaneh Zilabi, the lawyer for the Haft Tappeh workers, was sentenced to prison by the Ahvaz Branch 2 Revolutionary Court. She was recently summoned to the relevant branch to be charged.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners; Farzaneh Zilabi, the lawyer for the Haft Tappeh workers, was sentenced by the Second Branch of the Revolutionary Court of Ahvaz to one year in prison and a two-year ban from leaving Iran on Monday, September 13th, 2021.
According to a report released by the Second Branch of the Revolutionary Court, the lawyer was tried on charges such as “conspiracy to commit a crime against national security, membership in opposition groups, insulting Khamenei, and propaganda against the regime.”
In this court, Farzaneh Zilabi was acquitted of the charges of “gathering and colluding, spreading lies and insulting Khamenei,” and was sentenced to one year in prison and a two-year ban from leaving the country on charges of “propaganda against national security.”
