The death sentence of a Baloch prisoner named Alam Yar Ahmad Zehi, who was sentenced to retaliation (execution) on charges of “premeditated murder” during a dispute, was carried out in Khash Prison.

According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, the death sentence of a Baluch man named Alam Yar Ahmad Zehi, 48, from Khash, was carried out in the city prison, on the morning of Saturday, March 12th, 2022.

According to this report, Mr. Ahmad Zehi was sentenced to retaliation for “premeditated murder” during a dispute. This prisoner had been detained on this charge since 2010.

The execution of Alam Yar Ahmad Zehi has not been announced by the Iranian media or official sources as of this writing.

According to the annual report of the Human Rights Organization of Iran, at least 211 executions out of 267 executions carried out in Iran in 2020 were charged with “premeditated murder.”

Lack of grading for premeditated murder in Iran causes any type of murder, regardless of the severity, weakness and motive of the accused, to result in the death sentence.
