#Sarveh_Pourmohammadi, a member of the “Nozhin” Cultural Association, has been summoned to serve a five-year prison sentence.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, Sarveh Pourmohammadi has been summoned to the Enforcement Unit of the Sanandaj Revolutionary Court to begin serving her sentence.
Sarveh Pourmohammadi, a member of the cultural and social “Nozhin” Association, was arrested on January 29, 2023, by security forces and released 16 days later from the Sanandaj Juvenile Correction and Rehabilitation Center on bail, pending legal proceedings.
This cultural activist was initially sentenced to ten years in prison by Branch One of the Sanandaj Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Karami. However, in December 2024, a branch of the Kurdistan Province Court of Appeals reduced the sentence to five years on the charge of “forming a group with the intention of disrupting national security.”
