Execution of Four Prisoners in Bandar Abbas, Kerman, Shiraz, and Karaj Prisons

 

The death sentences of four prisoners convicted of “drug-related offenses” and “premeditated murder” have been carried out in various prisons across Iran.

According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, the executions of four individuals identified as Manouchehr Golabi, Saeed Shokoohi, Rouhollah Moradiani, and Ali Shafiei—convicted on charges of “premeditated murder” and “drug-related offenses”—were carried out on May 3, 4, 5, and 7, 2025, in the cities of Bandar Abbas, Kerman, Shiraz, and Karaj respectively.

Manouchehr Golabi (also known as Balouchkareh), a 50-year-old Iranian Baluch residing in Bandar Abbas, had been arrested seven years ago on drug charges and sentenced to death by the judiciary. His execution took place on Saturday, May 3, 2025, in Bandar Abbas Central Prison.

Saeed Shokoohi, a resident of Faryab in Kerman Province, was sentenced to death on a charge of “premeditated murder” and was executed on Sunday, May 4, 2025, in Kerman Prison.

Rouhollah Moradiani, a 49-year-old from Kuhdasht, had been sentenced to death by the judiciary on drug charges four years ago. His execution was carried out on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, in Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj.

Ali Shafiei, from Fasa in Fars Province, was sentenced to death four years ago for “premeditated murder.” His execution took place on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, in Adel Abad Prison in Shiraz.

At the time of this report, these executions have not been announced by domestic media or the Iranian judiciary.
