According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, Mehdi Zeinali, a 40-year-old from Birjand and a resident of Golestan Province, who had been arrested four years ago on charges related to drugs and sentenced to death by the judiciary, was executed on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, in Vakilabad Prison, Mashhad.
