The sentence of a prisoner who was sentenced to retaliation (execution) for “premeditated murder” of a police officer was carried out in Dezful prison.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, a man was executed in Dezful Prison on Thursday March 3rd, 2022.
According to the report, the unidentified prisoner was sentenced to retaliation for “premeditated murder” of a police officer during armed robbery.
Miran News Agency said in this regard: This prisoner was arrested on this charge six years ago and is being held in prison.
According to the annual report of the Human Rights Organization of Iran, at least 211 executions out of 267 executions carried out in Iran in 2020 were charged with “premeditated murder.”
Lack of grading for premeditated murder in Iran causes any type of murder, regardless of the severity, weakness and motive of the accused, to result in the death sentence.
