Narges Mohammadi, a political prisoner and human rights activist imprisoned in the prison, published a memo emphasizing the continuation of her positions against the authoritarian regime of the Islamic Republic and the anti-justice judiciary and said: “If I am returned to ward 209 of Evin to put pressure on me, I will go on a medicine and food strike.”

According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, Narges Mohammadi stated: “My position on civil disobedience to the authoritarian system and government, the dependent and none-sovereign and anti-justice judiciary system, and my view on sanctioning human rights violators remain strong.”

She said: “Security agents and even interrogators, holding the remote control of the building, easily entered my yard and house and were trying to confiscate my tablet and my guests’ mobile phones, who were confronted with my sharp protest and gave up.”

The political prisoner added: When I protested in front of the Evin Judge that I was a prisoner and that I should be under the supervision of the Prisons and Judiciary Organization, not the Security Organization, why did the security forces attack my house? Why did they wanted to confiscate my tablet and my guests’ mobile phones? The judge said; I have explicitly ordered your arrest, not the confiscation of your equipment, mobile phone and tablet”. Probably new charges have been brought against you!

Ms. Mohammadi stated: Security agents rushed to the door of the judge’s room door and asked; “Give Narges Mohammadi to us to take to ward 209, she has new charges during her leave”. The judge said; I have issued a warrant for the transfer of a prisoner to Qarchak Prison. After a dispute between security agents and a judge at the Evin Courthouse, I was sent to Qarchak Prison.

She stated: “If I am returned to ward 209 of Evin for pressuring me, I will go on a medicine and food strike.”

The political prisoner emphasized that all my activities during the leave period were transparent and there is no reason for my interrogation: I also declare; “My position on civil disobedience to the authoritarian system and government, the dependent and none-sovereign and anti-justice judiciary system, and my view on sanctioning human rights violators remain strong.”
