Saeeda Mirqurbani, a lawyer and legal expert, 32 years old from Babolsar in
Mazandaran, was arrested by security agents on Saturday, December 3 rd , 2022.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, after being
summoned to the Security Police Department of Babolsar, she responded negatively to
the request of the officers to sign an apology letter for her activities on social media and
was subsequently arrested. During the nationwide uprising of the Iranian people, 44
lawyers were arrested for providing legal support to protesting people
