According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, on Wednesday February 15th, 2023, Sam Rajabi, an environmental activist and political prisoner imprisoned in Evin prison, was sent on leave after posting bail.
According to this report, this security prisoner is serving a six-year prison sentence for the charge “collaboration with the United States of America as a hostile state”.
Sam Rajabi is one of the eight defendants in the so-called environmental activists case, who were sentenced to a total of 58 years in prison by the 36th branch of the Court of Appeal of Tehran province, headed by Ahmad Zargar, on February 18th, 2020.
