The Baluch Activists Campaign, quoting local sources, reported that he was shot by police and after coming out of a coma, he was taken from Zahedan Hospital to the city prison.

According to the report, due to his serious condition in prison and the lack of attention from judicial and military officials, his wound became infected and as his condition worsened, he was taken to the hospital again on July 17th, 2020.

Due to the lack of timely transfer of Mr. Tutarzehi to the hospital and the progression of the infection, the doctors were not able to take appropriate action. As a result, Ismail Tutarzehi dies on July 19th, 2020.
