The death sentence of Alireza Mohammadpour (Shahouzahi) and Safar Mohammadpour (Shahouzahi), two imprisoned brothers who were previously convicted on the charge of “narcotics” was executed in Torbat-e-Jam prison.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, on Monday February 20th, 2023, the sentences of two prisoners who were previously sentenced to death due to drug-related charges were executed in Torbat-e-Jam prison.
Alireza Mohammadpour (Shahouzahi), 28 years old, single, and Safar Mohammadpour (Shahouzahi), 31 years old, married, both children of Seyyed Mohammad, natives and residents of Kariz Kohandal village of Saleh Abad city area.
In this report, quoting an informed source: “These two brothers were arrested at their home by agents of the Taibad border regiment, on charges related to drugs on July 17th, 2019.”
As of the time of this report, the execution of these two prisoners has not been announced by the Iranian media or official sources.
