Fariba Zandkarimi, an education system worker from Sanandaj, despite of more than two months detention, still has been denied access to a lawyer and other citizen rights of a defendant.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, as of Saturday, April 22nd, 2023, Fariba Zandkarimi, an Educator from Sanandaj, despite more than two months detention, still has a pending and unclear case.
According to this report, the indecision of Fariba Zandkarimi case has continued while it is said that she is kept in solitary confinement and is deprived of the basic rights of an accused.
It is required to mention that Fariba Zandkarimi was arrested after being summoned by telephone to the Ministry of Information’s Monitoring and Follow-up Department in Sanandaj, the capital of Kurdistan Province, for interrogation and security investigations on April 15th, 2023. Then she was taken to her home for inspection and some of her personal belongings. She was also detained and transferred to a detention center in that city for interrogation and filing a case.
Also, as of writing this news, there is no detailed information about the name of the arresting body and the legal cases of Fariba Zandkarimi’s accusations.
