Sepideh Qoliyan Was Sentenced to One Year and Three Months in Prison

Sepideh Qoliyan, a labor activist imprisoned in Evin Prison, was sentenced to one year and three months in prison by Branch 1207 of the Criminal Court of Two Kechoi Judicial Complexes in Tehran, following the complaint of Amenasadat Zabihpour, an investigator-reporter of Radio and Television.

According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, Sepideh Qoliyan, a labor activist imprisoned in Evin prison, was sentenced to one year and three months in prison by the 1207th branch of the criminal court of two Kechoi judicial complexes in Tehran.

Based on the verdict issued, Sepideh Qoliyan was sentenced to one year and three months in prison by Branch 1207 of the Criminal Court of Two Kechui Judicial Complexes in Tehran headed by Judge Shamsuddin Jalili Piran for “removing the hijab and creating base for corruption and prostitution and her insistence on committing the crime described in the court hearings”. One year and three months includes the days of previous detention.

On Tuesday, August 22nd, 2023, a court hearing was held to investigate the charges against Sepideh Qoliyan, a civil activist imprisoned in Evin prison.

This meeting, which was opened by the complaint of Amenasadat Zabihpour, an investigator-journalist of Radio and Television (Sed and Sima), against Sepideh Qoliyan, was held in the criminal branch 1207 of two judicial complexes of Shahid Kachoui in Tehran, with the presence of this investigator-journalist.
