After about a month from the date of Safa Aeli arrest, he is still in pending and undecided status in one of the security detention centers in the city of Saqqez.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, after about a month has passed since the arrest of Safa Aeli, the uncle of Zina (Mehsa) Amini, his fate is in an aura of uncertainty.
Mr. Aeli has been deprived of the right to make phone calls and visit his family, and so far no specific information has been obtained about his condition.
He also does not have access to a lawyer, raising concerns about the interrogation process and the possibility of torture and his physical health.
Zina’s uncle was arrested on Monday, September 4th, 2023, following the raid of Saqqez Intelligence Department forces on his family home and creating an atmosphere of terror by plainclothes agents.
As of writing this report, there is no detailed information about the arresting institution, the place of detention and the charges against this citizen.
