The sentence of a prisoner named Davood Khademi, who was sentenced to self-retribution (execution) on the charge of “deliberate murder”, was executed in Sanandaj Central Prison.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, the death sentence of a man was implemented in Sanandaj Central Prison on the morning of Wednesday, December 13th, 2023.
This prisoner, whose identity has been confirmed as Davood Khademi, 30 years old and from Pileh village of Marivan, was sentenced to self-retribution on the charge of “intentional murder”.
An informed source about the execution of this prisoner said: “Davood Khademi was accused of murdering a dollar exchange merchant along with the help of another person and burning his body.”
The execution of this prisoner has not been announced by the Iranian media or official.
The lack of classification for intentional homicide in Iran makes any type of murder regardless of the severity, weakness and motivation of the accused lead to the issuance of a death sentence.
