Aref Sharif Soltani was arrested by the security agents in Nowshahr after protesting the observance of Qassem Soleimani’s death anniversary and was taken to the city prison.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, Aref Sharif Soltani, a civil engineering graduate, was arrested by security agents and taken to Nowshahr prison on Friday, January 5th, 2024.
This citizen was arrested following his protest against the observance of Qassem Soleimani’s death anniversary, and after his arrest, he was transferred to Nowshahr prison.
As of writing this report, there is no information about the arresting institution or the charges against this citizen.
During the past few days, two students named Sorna Alipour, a Medical Sciences student at Hormozgan University and Mehdi Saadati, a final year pharmacy student at Yazd Sedougi University, have been arrested by the security forces for the same reason.
