Five Turkish (Azerbaijani) activists named Vadod Asadi, Saeed Minaei, Ayaz Seifkhah, Bagher Hajizadeh and Kamal Nouri were arrested by security forces in Rasht, Tabriz and Islamshahr cities respectively and taken to an unknown location.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, five Turkish (Azerbaijani) activists named Vadod Asadi, Saeed Minaei, Ayaz Seif Khah, Baqer Hajizadeh and Kamal Nouri were arrested by the security forces respectively on Monday February 5th and Tuesday February 6th, 2024.
According to this report, Vadod Asadi and Saeed Minaei were arrested by the security forces in Rasht city, Ayaz Seifkhah and Baqer Hajizadeh in Tabriz city, and Kamal Nouri in Islamshahr, Tehran province. Some relatives of these Azerbaijani activists informed that the arrest of these activists It has been accompanied by beatings by the security forces.
Morteza Parveen and Salar Taher Afshar, two other Azerbaijani Turkish activists, were also arrested by the security forces in the cities of Ardabil and Urmia on the morning of Tuesday February 6th, 2024.
