Sara Tabrizi, a former political prisoner who was summoned to the Ministry of Intelligence on March 23rd, 2024, tragically passed away the following day, at her father’s house in Tehran.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, Sara was 20 years old. She was arrested by the Ministry of Intelligence in November 2023 and was released from Evin Prison in the same month.
It is reported that the Ministry of Intelligence officials had repeatedly threatened Sara, stating that if she did not cooperate, they would publish the contents of her mobile phone’s private data.
Informed sources state that Sara had been under severe pressure from government forces in the final days of her life.
The exact cause of Sara Tabrizi’s death has not been determined yet.
Sara’s family and friends are demanding an autopsy and transparent investigation into her death.
