A young non-native woman was arrested in Larestan for posting pictures on Instagram that were deemed by law enforcement authorities as contrary to Islamic norms.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, Mohammad Yousefi, the police commander of Larestan, stated: ” after monitoring the virtual space, the Cyber Police officers identified arrested this woman, who had taken and posted pictures of herself with inappropriate attire on Instagram.”
The suspect was referred to the judicial authorities after her arrest. No details about the identity of the detainee have been disclosed in this report.
