Poet Shahab Siahi, a resident of Hamidieh, was detained by intelligence services and taken to an unknown location.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, Shahab Siahi was arrested by security forces and taken to an unknown location on Monday, January 27th, 2020.
The exact reason for the arrest and whereabouts of this Arab citizen is not known at this time, but his arrest is said to have been related to the writing of epic poems in social gatherings and social media.
Mr. Siahi had previously been arrested by security forces, along with five other residents of Hamidieh, on August 2nd, 2018.
On August 3rd, 2018, Shahab Siahi was transferred from Hamidieh Intelligence Detention Center to the Central Prison of Ahvaz (Shiban) along with Ali Siahi, Amir Siahi, Abbas Savaedi, Maher Menabohi and Malek Manibuhi. They were temporarily released from the prison each on 200 million Tomans bail on August 12th, 2018.
