Seven Teachers were Arrested in Different Cities at the Recent Nationwide Teachers’ Rallies 

Seven teachers named Mohammad Ali Zahmatkesh, Asghar Amirzadegan and Ghahraman Kiani were arrested in Shiraz, Ahmad Heidari, Ahmadi and Davoodi in Tehran, and Jabbar Doosti in Marivan.

According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, at least seven teachers and union activists were arrested and taken to an unknown location during teachers’ nationwide rallies on Monday, January 31st, 2022.

According to the report, following the Coordination Council of Iranian Cultural Associations call, teachers and school system workers and retirees, in different cities of the country, protested against the non-fulfillment of their demands.

Mohammad Habibi spokesman for the Teachers’ Union on his personal page has announced the arrest of Mohammad Ali Zahmatkesh, Asghar Amirzadegan and Ghahraman Kiani in Shiraz, Ahmad Heidari, Ahmadi and Davoodi in Tehran and Jabbar Doosti in Marivan.

It should be noted that Shaban Mohammadi, a member of the Marivan Kurdistan Teachers’ Union, was arrested by security forces and taken to an unknown location.
