Execution of at Least Two Baloch Prisoners on Charges of “Narcotics” in Zahedan Central Prison

The death sentence of Hadi Arbabi Gorgij and Mohammad Ishaq Gorgij, who were previously convicted on drug charges and transferred to solitary confinement, was executed in Zahedan Central Prison.

According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, the death sentence of at least two Baloch prisoners who were previously sentenced to death on drug-related charges was executed in Zahedan Central Prison on February 27th, 2023.

The identities of these two prisoners have been identified as “Hadi Arbabi (Gorgij), son of Ahmad and “Mohammed Ishaq Gorgij”, son of Khodarahm, both from Zahedan.

According to Hal Vash sources, Hadi and Ahmad were arrested in 2019 along with several members of the military and Basij forces, including the commander of the Nomadic Security Corps, on charges related to drugs, and all the soldiers were acquitted by the judicial system due to their relationships and returned to their work, but these two Baloch citizens, who were arrested two months earlier than the others, were sentenced to death, and their death sentence was executed today.
