Mehdi Seifi, a former political prisoner, has been arrested and transferred to an unknown location following an attack by security forces in Nowshahr.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, Mehdi Seifi was arrested following the Nowshahr Intelligence Services raid and was taken to an unknown location on Wednesday, August 2nd, 2023.
Mr. Seifi was arrested earlier in early-June 2020, when he was illegally leaving the country on the way to the mountain road in Saro area in Urmia city.
He was released from Evin prison after being transferred to Evin prison and the process of interrogations and explanation of charges on July 11th, 2020.
So far, there is no information about the reason for the arrest, charges, whereabouts and fate of this citizen.
