Hossein Afkari, the father of executed wrestler Navid Afkari, was released from Qazvin prison (Chobindar).
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, on Tuesday, December 14, 1402, Hossein Afkari, the father of executed wrestler Navid Afkari, was released from Chobin prison in Qazvin on December 5th, 2023.
Hossein Afkari was arrested by plainclothes agents without a court order on Tuesday, May 2nd, 2023.
Saeed Afkari, Navid Afkari’s brother, announced the release of his father Hossein Afkari from prison by publishing a tweet and wrote:
My father was released a few minutes ago. Although we are a little relieved because of my father, we are still worried about the prisoners in danger of execution. We ask you honorable people of Iran to unite once again and not let the dearest youth of this land fall prey to the bloodthirsty of the Islamic Republic.
