Saman Yasin, a rapper and one of those arrested during the nationwide protests in 2022, was transferred to Loghman Hospital on the evening of Friday, May 17th, 2024.

According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, this singer, who supports the nationwide protests, suffered a seizure due to psychological pressure. He was initially taken to the medical center of Ghezel Hesar Prison and then transferred by stretcher to Loghman Hospital.

The source reported that Saman Yasin was returned to prison around noon on Saturday, May 18th, 2024, despite his condition still being critical, and he has been experiencing continuous nausea since his return.

It is said that Saman Yasin had a nervous seizure after learning that his medical records were not sent from the prison to the judge overseeing his case.

This is the second time in recent months that Yasin has been hospitalized due to deteriorating health. He was previously transferred to Razi Hospital in March due to mental health issues.

Saman Yasin, who suffered a broken nose during his arrest, has previously reported physical and psychological torture in prison, including “mock executions, breaking of the nose, being placed in a cold storage room, and transfer to a psychiatric hospital.”

He has also been sentenced by the Tehran Revolutionary Court to five years of exile in one of the cities of Kerman Province.
